Ushang Achu is an environmentalist, climate communications specialist, and policy advocate with over ten years of experience leading and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives across Africa including UN-REDD+. Her expertise spans climate education, climate policy, environmental governance, gender inclusion, knowledge management, and corporate sustainability.
Ushang is the Founder of Gem Learning Resources, an educational enterprise that provides high-quality, hands-on learning and environmental resources for children from birth to 12 years. Through the organization, she promotes experiential learning and equips children with the critical thinking, environmental awareness, and future-ready skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
A passionate advocate for climate education, Ushang is committed to inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders. She designs educational initiatives that equip children and young people with green skills, encouraging innovation and preparing them for emerging opportunities in the green economy. She also champions inclusive policies that advance environmental justice while empowering women and children to build more sustainable futures.
Ushang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Environmental Science and a postgraduate degree in International Business from Coventry University, United Kingdom. She is also certified in Environmental Health and Safety, as well as Climate Change and Renewable Energy through The La Plage Metaverse and certified in Green skills education by INCO Academy & LinkedIn.
