Building Bridges Between Generations
The FLAMEG Inter-Generational Care Initiative (FIGCI) is a non-profit, non-political, community-driven organisation based in Cross River State, Nigeria.
FIGCI was founded to address two of the most overlooked social challenges facing communities across Nigeria and many parts of the world: the growing isolation and digital exclusion of elderly citizens, and the widening skills, mentorship and opportunity gap facing young people.
Rather than treating these as separate challenges, FIGCI brings older and younger generations together within the care economy, creating structured opportunities where each group provides what the other needs most.

Founder, Global President, Chairman/CEO, FLAMEG Inter-Generational Care Initiative (FIGCI), Nigeria
Dr. Ihort G. C. Achu is a retired Permanent Secretary and a seasoned administrator and human resource professional with over 30 years of hands-on experience in public service and the development sector. Throughout her career, she has provided leadership across governance, human capital development, community engagement, and sustainable development initiatives.
She currently serves as Executive Secretary to the Board of Gender and Development Action (GADA), Nigeria, and is a Life Member of the Asian Business Forum, Pakistan. She is also a Member of the Board of Directors of GreenStrides Development Initiative (GDI), Nigeria, and the World Peace and Climate Change Diplomatic Organisation (WPCCDO), Nigeria. In addition, she serves as an Ambassador and Advisory Council Member of Yes You Can International (YYCI), United Kingdom.
Dr. Ihort G. C. Achu is a retired Permanent Secretary, seasoned Administrator, and Human Resource professional with over 30 years of distinguished experience in public service and the development sector. Throughout her career, she has provided strategic leadership in governance, human capital development, gender inclusion, community engagement, and sustainable development, earning recognition for her commitment to impactful leadership and nation-building.
A renowned entrepreneur, leadership strategist, trainer, speaker, author, scholar, counselor, farmer, and climate change advocate, Dr. Achu has dedicated her career to empowering individuals, strengthening institutions, and driving sustainable social change. She is not just widely respected for her expertise in change management, leadership development, and organizational strategy, but holds Fellowships of renowned Institutions like FCIPM, FNIM, FOSHA, FCTI., and more.

Assy Adams David is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of GreenStrides Development Initiative (GDI), with over twenty-five years of administrative and professional experience spanning both the public and private sectors.
A Geographer, Environmental Scientist, Urban Planner, Procurement Specialist, Sustainable Development Strategist, and seasoned Administrator, he has built a distinguished career focused on environmental management, sustainable development, institutional growth, and community empowerment.
Our work is strengthened by experienced professionals, advisors, and advocates who provide strategic guidance and leadership across our programs and initiatives.
Ushang Achu

Ushang Achu is an environmentalist, climate communications specialist, and policy advocate with over ten years of experience leading and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives across Africa including UN-REDD+. Her expertise spans climate education, climate policy, environmental governance, gender inclusion, knowledge management, and corporate sustainability.
Ushang is the Founder of Gem Learning Resources, an educational enterprise that provides high-quality, hands-on learning and environmental resources for children from birth to 12 years. Through the organization, she promotes experiential learning and equips children with the critical thinking, environmental awareness, and future-ready skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Adv. Surv. (Dr.) Afolabi Timothy Olaniyan

Adv. Surv. (Dr.) Afolabi Timothy Olaniyan serves as the Global President of the World Peace & Climate Change Diplomatic Organisation (WPCCDO), a nonprofit organization focused on capacity building, advocacy, peace, climate action, and sustainable development at national, regional, and global levels. Founded around 2019 and headquartered in Calabar, Nigeria, the organization advances initiatives that promote peacebuilding, climate resilience, humanitarian development, and global cooperation.
Mfreke Anakan Ayan-Asigbe

Mfreke Anakan Ayan-Asigbe is a distinguished Public Health Specialist and Lecturer with over a decade of experience dedicated to enhancing community wellness and addressing critical health issues. She is the CEO of Cypress Global Health and the founder of Women Riding on Waves Initiative, reflecting her commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals, families, organizations, and communities.
Mfreke’s academic journey is marked by excellence. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to participate in international fellowships, including the Emerging Political Leadership Fellowship and the African Civic Engagement Academy at the University of Georgia, underscoring her dedication to continuous learning and leadership development.
Deborah Tijani

Deborah Tijani is a sustainability entrepreneur, Founder of Tuleva, fashion designer, and Creative Director passionate about advancing circular fashion through innovation and technology. She is building solutions that help individuals, brands, and the wider fashion ecosystem understand and demonstrate the environmental impact of circular fashion actions, enabling more informed decisions and accelerating the transition to a more sustainable industry.
With over eight years of experience spanning fashion, entrepreneurship, and strategic communications, Deborah has developed purpose-driven initiatives that combine creativity with sustainability. Her work is driven by the belief that measurable impact, innovation, and collaboration are essential to transforming the future of fashion and addressing climate challenges.
