Mr. Mbithi is a Christian, happily married with 4 beautiful children and has an interest in people – their well-being and advancement.
He is a Change Management professional with vast experience in heavy industry. He is and has worked as a professional Electrical/Electronics Engineer in Lafarge and also held leadership roles in Operations, Artificial Intelligence, Training & Development, Human Resources, Health & Safety and Management Systems Audits as Lead Auditor in many Lafarge business units.
He has been involved in different aspects of change management over his tenure in Lafarge and notably as Energy Isolation Manager Sub Sahara Africa, he successfully launched and implemented the Lafarge group worldwide Energy Isolation Standard utilising a change management approach comprising strategies and innovative methods of controlling the release of hazardous energy within the operations of the 3 divisions of the Lafarge group; Cement, Aggregates/Concrete and Gypsum in Sub-Sahara Africa & islands off the Indian Ocean. He provided solutions to 12 Cement business units, 2 Gypsum business units and 91 Aggregate & Concrete plants.
His last assignment in Lafarge was to launch and lead the implementation of an ambitious change management program in Lafarge Holcim United Cement Co., Nigeria. The scope of change management was organization-wide. The project resulted in a drastic change in company fortunes, posting super profits in 2012 and 2013 thereby spurring investor confidence to fund the construction of a second line to double Cement production capacity from 2.5 Million to 5.0 Million TPA.
After 23 years in Lafarge, Mr. Mbithi left the organization to pursue his passion and founded ChariXaris Ltd in 2013 to offer innovative and sustainable solutions in change managing all types of business endeavors and consulting for Oil & Gas and other Organizations.
He is a member of The Brook Church in Calabar volunteering as Chairman of the building project and also as the Director of the Technical Department. Together with his wife, he mentors entrepreneurs in an organization known as the SHEPRENEUER Nation Business Support Group in Nigeria.
He is an International Trustee of the World Peace and Climate Change Diplomatic Organization, a Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology registered with the Engineering Council of the UK and he is a PROSCI® (USA) Certified Change Management Practitioner.
